Angels Watchin' Over Me, is 1 page long

There are good angels, evil (fallen) angels and demons. Good angels take their orders from God. Evil angels and demons take their orders from Satan. Let's talk about the Good Angels.

A. Read Psalms 91:9-13 and notice these points.

9. Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge. 10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. 12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

      1. Because you live every day in God, He will defend you.
      2. Angels can protect you from anything including sickness.
      3. Angels can give you the strength to defeat anything.
      4. Angels can fight battles for you in the spirit realm and the physical.

B. Psalms 34: 7, (And this defense includes angels that live all around you all the time.)

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

C. Hebrews 13: 2, (Sometime angels visit you and you don't know that they are angels.)

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

D. Angels can be messengers to Gods Children.

      1. Gabriel went to Zacharias (Luke 1: 19): 19. And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.
      2. To Mary, the Mother of Jesus (Luke 1: 26-33): 26. In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27. to a virgin betrothed[a] to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28. And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” 29. But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. 30. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33. and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

E. Angels can control nature:

Rev. 7:1, After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree.
Rev. 16: 3, The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea.
Rev. 16: 8-9, 8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.

F. Angels are our helpers (Heb 1: 13-14)

13. And to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”? 14. Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

G. God's angels oppose Satan and his angels

(Dan 10: 13, 21; 12:1)

Daniel 10:13,

13. The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days, but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia,

Daniel 10:21

21.But I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth: there is none who contends by my side against these except Michael, your prince.

Daniel 12:1

1.“At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.

H. Proverbs 12:21

,
There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked . . .
Angels are great helpers, but they are not to be worshipped. They are not to be treated like Gods, because they are God's helpers.

Colossians 2:

18. Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and
disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking
his stand on visions (a fraud claims) he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions
and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit, (also see Colossians 2: 10 )

It is important to understand that angels are a wonderful creation of God, but they, like us, have their place in Gods' great plan. They get their power and their orders from God, just like we do. God is more than able to meet your need and win your victories, and yes, sometimes those victories happen because God has sent angels.

I. Psalm 89:34, (When God makes a promise it's forever.)

,

Why does all of this happen? Because of Jesus!

1. Ephesians 1: ALL
(Now that God's word has blown your socks off. You can put your socks back on.)
Memory verse: Hebrews 13:2
